On Sunday, April 13, 2014, Rudy Tafel and his family celebrated his 90th birthday. 

Many family members attended the surprise party that was held at Otto's Brauhaus. Louis Tafel, Rudy's brother, escorted Rudy to the party along with Ruth Tafel, Agnes Tafel, and Mary Tafel. Louis and the girls were successful in keeping the party a secret until Rudy met the awaiting family members at the restaurant.
